THE QUICK FIX

Most garage door openers made in the past 25 years have pressure adjustments for both raising and lowering. Check and adjust these settings twice a year or in extreme weather temperature changes to keep things running smoothly. You will find the information on this in your owners manual. 


This is not the end all cure all to every problem.  It is just a quick adjustment to check before calling in a professional.  If you are not comfortable getting on a ladder DO NOT TRY THIS ALONE.

Belanger & Sons garage Door Company in Biddeford Maine is a huge proponent in safety first. 

If you call us to your house for a service call and your door or opener does not meet the existing safety codes we will be unable to do any work on your door or opener unless you let us bring it up to code. The only exception to this rule is if your garage door opener doesn't have safety eyes and it is functioning.

This is an unpopular decision with a few select clients who do not want to spend the money to bring their product up to code, but I am NOT going to be liable for any person getting harmed because a shortcut was taken.  We have left job sites before and will not hesitate to do so again.
